The first International Conference in the Baltic countries "Soil Degradation, Riga 2009" organized by VentEko Ltd. and the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Latvia and with the support of United Nations Development Programme and University of Latvia took place in Riga on 17 – 19 February 2009. The Conference assembled more then 100 representatives from European Commission Joint Research Centre, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Canada, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Kurdistan, Israel, Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Finland and Baltic Countries – Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. read more » |
